Tools4D Texture Remapping Kit launched

Tools4D is proud to announce the launch of the Texture Remapping Kit.
This kit contains a special shader and tool for extracting textures from photos. Plus you get the awsome Random Tile shader to help combat the repetative nature of seamless textured tiles. There is also a nifty Normal mapping shader included, which is fast, easy to use and just works out of the box.

For further information go to the Texture Remapping plugin page..

cheers

Very nice !

Thank you for your development on these texture-tools.
Especially the "random tile shader" is my favourite one!
Long time waited for this .

I remember, there was a similar tool, called "wang-tile-shader"
for c4d r11.5, i mean. But it wasn´t developed further. It seems
to me, that your system also has a lot more features, for doing
random tiles. Of course, a bunch of tools for mapping textures !

Now i´m able to use my texture collection. Thanks again Paul

Hello Paul,

your plugin looks interesting...
For quite some time, I was hoping that someone came up with a plugin like this for Cinema:

"Wang Tile Shader" (http://www.johanneskopf.de/publicat...olid/index.html)

Does your plugin features the same results like the wang tile shader ?
Or if not - can you put these features in your next update ?
Because to have a real photo texture, that behaves like an algorithmic shader regarding to repetitions is something I was looking for years now...

Greetings

Serge

Looks great! Couple of questions:

1) For the un-distortion features, how is the interpolation done? Linear, bicubic etc

2) For the random tile shader, will the texture needed to be given extra symmetry so it can still tile when flipped, spun etc? Or will it work with any existing tileable image?

Cheers - C

1 . bicubic

2 . pretty much any tileable/seamless texture.

you apply tiling as usual, vai the c4d texture tag each rendered tile cell is flipped or rotated. It can pretty much eliminate the age old problem that I assume everyone has come up against at some point.

The RTS can also be abused with non seamless textures for things like building facades or panels(which was the original thought). by randomly fliping the U tiling, you can easily break up the monotony of the facade.

RTS does what its says on the box. its an easy to use , no brainer, which everyone should have (I wish, so i could eat )
