Help: Cineversity Tutorials Error Issue
Hi,
Since one month or less, I took premium membership but still I did not watch any full tutorial, I am facing these issues; 1) Most of time just circle rotates and nothing comes 2) Unknown error while loading video message comes 3) During tutorial after few minutes tutorial runs without sound. Now last two day not showing any tutorial , just white screen and heading shows... nothing happens. Annual membership and one month is going without watching any tutorial. I sent mail two times but still did not get any reply from support team. If it is like this... please cancel my account and return my money.... or I should wait till it fix. Any guidance or help what should I do I am using Mac OS X 10.7.3, Safari & Firefox 11.0 TIA Greets. Last edited by iac : 06 June 2012 at 10:01 AM. Reason: update |

Hello,
I can't say I've had any of those issues, and I've been a member for 3 or 4 years now. Regardless, this isn't the place to get resolution to these issues. CV has it's own forum, and it would be better to post this there, as there is no relationship between CGTalk and Cineversity. __________________

You are right, there is no relation but may be some extra setting or I am missing something....!!! ... |

There have been several videos with severe playback issues for a while
and I have to agree with iac, the new site looks fab but the running of it needs some serious shape up. Not fixing broken videos (that's what the idea behind it all after all) is not very classy. I'm probably out as well pretty soon as a simple posting question of mine is simply ignored. It's not a free site so some quality should be expected. Cheers Lennart __________________

The service Cineversity uses for video streaming had a critical system malfunction on Friday, March 23rd. Due to this malfunction their servers lost some of Cineversity's content, which had to be re-uploaded.
Emails to customer service on Cineversity are usually answered during office hours - Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm PST (excluding holidays of course). We did not immediately answer emails on Friday because we did not have a clear understanding of the issue until late Friday night (from the streaming service provider). We spent the weekend recovering the videos lost or corrupted, and responded on Monday to all inquiries and concerns. In terms of accessing videos, there have been some reports that anonymous proxies or firewalls are limiting access to tutorials. We've made some adjustments to overcome this, and are still investigating further fixes to facilitate better performance. Thank you for you concerns and we apologize for any inconvenience. The new site looks better but it's a pity all Tutorial content now requires Flash to be played. Before the facelift, it was possible to watch Tutorials (comfortably) on an iPad (anywhere)

I asked cancel my membership and for return my money back.... no reply. How it works.... anyone one who can help me. Greets. |

what browser do you use? I never had issues with Internet Explorer. Cineversity do allow for the download/use of its own video playback, did you try that?

I m using Mac os x, safari and firefox.
Cineversity replied me one month earlier; Unfortunately we can’t really offer a response any further on what the issue is. As for the streams being geo-locked, again, no clue, the issues that yourself and others are experiencing are to sporadic, it seems to not matter which OS, Browser, or location a person uses or is in. We have tickets filed with our vendors and are now waiting for their responses. After this.... No reply and no solution. .... |

Agree. Flash for video is excluding a large userbase.
I'm hoping that the Maxon job posting for iOS dev will result in a Cineversity iOS app. ![]() Has anyone seen what zbrush has done with zclassroom? Seems like they're making it totally mobile/tablet friendly.

yeah but the average user reads cineversity and thinks about ""Maxon Computer GmbH"" and not about maxon us So its not the best advertisement for the Maxon GmbH cheers __________________

Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to the Cineversity team for making it iPad friendly. It's a real joy to be tucked in and watching tutorials just before bedtime.
