Substance Painter to Arnold (C4D) Workflow?

Hi Good Day!

May I ask for your help in having in Substance Painter/Arnold (C4D) workflow?

I understand that there is no 1:1 ratio of Substance Painter(SP) and Arnold (ARN) viewport due to different algorithms. But the problem is I could not even get a 1:0.8 ratio or any decent conversion. I watched several tutorials and applied what they have showed, but I still couldn't get it to look right. Some of these are the following. See appendix below for reference used.

To speed things up, you can see my overall problem in this image. I have also copied the environment from the SP and used it to relight in Arnold C4D. You can see the project files here .

There must be some button/setting I'm missing out. I'm just not sure what it is. Thank you in advance for your time/

Hi,

As suggested by others, I have updated the file and changed the Normal Map and Height Map from auto to Linear but I'm still nowhere near the substance render.

Any thoughts are highly appreciated.

I had a go in MtoA and followed the documentation for Arnold 5 (https://support.allegorithmic.com/documentation/display/integrations/Arnold+5+for+Maya) and this is the result. I would say this is pretty close with the substance painter. Redid it with the C4DtoA. The result is not that far-off but I'll say MtoA is better with details. I reckon this has something to with the metalness parameter in C4D, but I'm not so sure. The reason is that I can still modify the IOR in C4D despite putting a Map into the metalness and modification also changes the final image. In MtoA, IOR is already locked when map is inserted.

I'm putting this issue to rest. I'm generally happy with what I came up with. Still, looking forward for other work arounds, if there are any

P.S. Make sure to follow the Allegorithmic's Arnold 5 version and not the older version. I kinda wasted my time with the older version trying to work out it.*
