Extrude Object not working properlny now :/



O often use illustrator paths, and this is what I see after update...

Same object on cinema 4D R19.024....

ive been using SP2 for quite a few months now and have not seen any problems like this

ive PMed you my email address, could you please send me the scene file to look at?

i checked out your file and all the holes are actually 2 splines sat on top of each other. if you delete them then everything is fine

Congrats and thanks to the dev team for the update. That's a lot of bug mashing!

This is welcome for Octane users as it fixes an issue saving Octane passes.

Check the  file in illustrator, there is one spline. Cinema doubles spline and an error occurs.

I don't have the file, but do you have the same problem if you use CV-ArtSmart to import or paste the splines?

No, then it's ok. No double lines. But I prefer import ai, becouse then I have scale 1:1. I have checked a few files and theres is no problem with simpler paths (everything is fine), but when shape has holes etc, in Cinema appears double spline.

ah ok i see what you mean now. the connect splines command in the importer is duplicating the splines. turn that off and you get the right amount imported which can be put under a connect generator.
i will pass this on when im back in the office tomorrow. 
thanks for bringing it to our attention

Anyone on Mac seeing big performance improvements with this update? Appears the Metal 2 aspect is only applicable to ProRender performance but I may be wrong on that. Either way interested to hear people's initial impressions / if any aspect of the app feels more responsive to them. There were some LOD fixes too.

Lots of fixes, great!

I believe Metal 2 is only available with High Sierra, right? So I'm still on Sierra and will not see this benefit yet. Time to upgrade I guess...

What other requirements are there for Metal 2? In terms of machine and graphics card?

odo, if you are using FCX Pro on the same machine, you would probably better perform a clean install. ;-)

No big improvements for me with ProRender, I'm using a iMac 3,5Ghz i7High Sierra 10.13.3 with a Nvidia Card and it crashes immediately after a few seconds with a simple scene. Then again, Nvidia Cards doesn't play wel with ProRender :-) I have send the crash report to Maxon.
