Render X-particles trails with Redshift?

Render X-particles trails with Redshift?

So far the only way I have found to render X-Particles trails with Redshift is by using the hair option in the redshift object tag.
The result is not convincing though, as it never looks like it's a real geometry. In Arnold I can choose whether use the hair look or the thick look, which gives the trails a geometry look.
Is there any solution in Redshift or I have to use other options such as sweep?

Yeah, that's what I'm doing and the trails look flat.
In the brographvideo the issue is not very noticeable because his settings are quite low and thus the trail is very thin.
But I need to render close-up of the trail and it has to look with real geometry.

Did you tried to ask in Redshift forum? there are many C4D users there.

I posted on their forum and waiting for an answer but in the meantime, I searched and it seems is not possible yet.

you can generate sweep trails. See attached photo. Because there is geometry being created, it can slow down your system.

Yes, I'm aware of the sweep nurbsworkaround. Using hairs could be a little faster.
Anyway, it seems they'll add a better support for this request in the next release.
