extremely slow preparing - ANIMATION

Hi there folks,

I'm working on a 60s animations, moving objects and cameras. Nothing too fancy.
I've finished the whole scene and I wanted to render 200f preview but the preparing phase gets sooo long. About 5min per frame.

But, if I try to render all of the frames (0-1400f) preparing phase is completely normal (10seconds).
I'm lost and out of ideas on how to tackle this one.

I'm rendering in Software renderer (viewport only)
I'm using Cloth tag to animate falling cloth and a spline dynamics tag on another object.

Is there something very obvious that I'm missing?

Here's the preview of the whole animation:https://drive.google.com/open?id=1O...bhO30UvGE1ILiq3

thank you,
m

Are your 200f the first 200f or anywhere in between? And is your cloth cached? Because if you start rendering from 300 to 500, cinema needs to simulate from 0-300 before it can start rendering. Hope that helps

The 200f are somewhere in-between yes.
I have the cloth cached yes.

Is your statement true for all kind of animations or only those including dynamics?

I was under the impression that caching the dynamics takes away the need to compile the animation every time you play (or render) it. Was I wrong?

Thank you very much@schokomilx

best,

some tags also cause long preparation times. like the vibrate tag. instead try using cS_vibrate from the object library, or maybe bake down the animation of such object.

basically you have to delete stuff from the scene until you find what is causing it.

Thank you@AlekseyVoz

I've managaed to find a Dynamic Body tag that wasn't supposed to be there. Obviously that was the was slowing down the viewport as well the preparing time before rendering.
Thanks for all the help,
