Scroll to first object no longer works. R18.057

I just updated to the latest R18.057 and I have noticed that the "Scroll to first object" no longer works.
It does work about 1 out of every 5 times which is strange.

I sent a bug report to Maxon so hopefully they can correct this soon.

Anyone else having this issue?

Been on 18.057 a couple of weeks now & use scroll first active all the time.
No problems.
Windows 10 Pro 64 if it helps.
Cinema 4D R19 Studio, Octane, Z Brush, Mudbox, Adobe CC

Works for me only when the mouse is on the objects manager.

I have noticed it doesnt seem to work sometimes, not sure why. Can you also ask them to go back to the first object being geometry - NOT the active texture tag!

Windows 7 here.
It seems to be working a bit better now but clicking on some objects doesn't work at all.

I use this feature every day and never had an issue.
R19 will be out in a few days so hopefully that will sort it.

Just heard back from Maxon.

Thanks for contacting support.

It looks like this has been reported on our bug system, so hopefully the fix will be rolled into a future patch or release.

As a workaround you can revert back to an earlier version by uninstalling
Cinema 4D, reinstalling the software, then applying the patch which you
can download from here, extract all the files.

To apply the patch just go to help, manual installation and navigate to
the c4dupdate file in the zip downloaded earlier, which will update to

@Rob. Not completely sure what you mean. If I select "Scroll to first object" it will show that object in the object manager. If I right click on the material i can use the "Select all textures/Objects" which will select all objects with that material.

This has been around for a long time, and I believe it has largely to do with objects nested in a group. The results may vary but if your object is a couple of children below parent it won't work.

You do need your mouse over the OM but, regardless the feature is broken and has been at least as long as R18.

Not for me. I never had an issue finding an object until now. It may be different for other folks running on different OS.
