hard surface texturing

hi

is there any good tutorial for hard surface texturing....

i have many hard surface model which are complete..but coz of my zero knowledge of uvw mapping....i am stuck....couldnt find nything useful on net on hard surface texturing..

plz help me

Hello Praksly,

To put it simply, you can't really do much texturing, if your models are not UV mapped yet. So before you consider hardsurface texturing, learn UV mapping. Depending on what 3D software you use, there are so many, many learning ressources. Maya and 3ds Max comes with a lot of tutorials for example. They will give you a good grounding. Or a quick google search will no doubt reveal a lot of tutorials and youtube videos.
