Remove Transparency Reflections?

I am making a bush in maya using planes with transparent textures. I have successfully gotten transparency to work; however, the transparent parts of the plane are still reflecting light, so that the plane is revealed. How do I fix this?

Use the same opacity map as a mask in the reflection channel.

If your using Mental Ray, you could also just pipe out your texture into the 'Cutout Opacity' channel in your Mia_X shader. This should give you a cut out in your alpha channel as well.
