nhairs and control curves

I have run into an issue. Need help!!

(Main Head of Hair)

I created a hair system with no problems. I was able to manipulate the control curves and the hair system responded as it should. It looks good.

The issue is when I tried to create another hair system for the eyebrow.

(Eyebrows)
I created a new hair system on a polygonal plane that represented the eyebrow. For whatever reason, I cannot get the hair system to "follow" the curves. When i select one of the control curves and move it in a desired position, the hair will not follow.

I posted a screenshot of me trying to manipulate a curve and the hair not following.

Note: I did notice that when i created the new hair system for the eyebrows, it did not create a "nucleus" node. Not sure if this has something to do with it.
