Applying same texture on same model but with diff UVs

Hello Guys,

I have an issue, our client has provided us a face model which is textured, our job was to create hairs(game model), so we have created a base texture on its skull but we have rearranged the UVs according to our needs, but now client is asking to apply that texture on the UVs which they have created.
So now our problem is how could we transfer the new texture with new UVs on old model with old UVs, in other words we want to transfer the texture from one model to another with different UVs(models are same).
I hope i have made myself clear, so please if anybody can help us it would be really appreciated.

Thanks,
Lalit

What software are you using? In Maya this is a relatively simple process of baking the texture from the one model to the other.
