Maya Fur Mapping Resolution Issue

I have been working on a character using Maya Fur. I have the resolution for my maps set to 2048 but when I export the maps to Photoshop to work on (Direction, Baldness and others) the image size is is 2048 as intended however the resolution in the image is like 128. I had read that the Display setting for previewing determine this resolution.

My question is how do I change the preview display setting for this so that I can export and import correctly?
Ever wonder what the Pillsbury Dough Boy would taste like if you tossed him in the oven and baked him up?
