Photoshop How to place a texture with a bit of a random effect along a path

Let's say you have a leg alone on its layer in Photoshop and the path (contour) that gives you its shape.

What I need now to do is to put some body hair to achieve the realistic border effect. I have a brush that can draw a hair or even a set of them. I want to place them on the path contour with a bit of a randomized effect.

I can place them on the path but they are too regular. I can build a bigger brush but still the placement even using the brushes options are not totally satisfying. Does anyone have a solution for that?

If nobody has, who would be interested in a solution if I fnd it?

Have you tried adding more jitter effects to the brush?
