Unhappy ARGH! Distortion mapping UV to Nurb/Polygon surface

Hi guys,

As outlined in the picture below, I am having trouble mapping UV to a nurbs surface - although I have had an almost identical problem with polygons too - the image is badly distorted.

To create the rippled poster effect, I drew two curves with non matching dips, and lofted them together as a nurb surface.

Then I assigned a new material - a lambert with an image file and the image is badly distorted and does not map as it should to the plane.

Can anyone lend some advice...

Thank you!

Dan

I'm not sure how mapping works with nurbs but in polys, you just need to apply a planar mapping and it should look just fine.
