MARI Ideas (and user content)

http://mari.ideascale.com

Some of you are already familiar with the system and are contributing members.

The site is also blasting into the social media sphere with a presence on both Twitter (@MariIdeas) and Facebook (Mari Ideas)

What is it about

Mari@Ideascale was founded as an easy place for users to share ideas on (possible) future developments for MARI.
With the addition of a voting system, popular ideas bubble to the top.
This is giving the team at the Foundry an idea what big features are in demand but also pad the featurelists with small additions, that otherwise might not be considered.

All new ideas get logged with the Foundry - nothing gets lost in the depths of a forum thread

User Addons for Mari

With the release of Mari 2.0 we added a User Content Section allowing for sharing of scripts and nodes (Adjustment Layers, Procedurals etc.) that users may come up with.

Some stats (always good)

- 290 ideas posted to date
- 60 ideas were integrated in official releases since beginning 2012. 27 in Mari 2.0 alone.
- users include artists from major studios like Pixar, Dreamworks, DD, Weta, Dneg, Framestore etc.

With Mari 2.0 opening up a whole bunch of options there is now a new User Content section available. There are already a bunch of new nodes in there to add functionality to Mari 2.0. Also some scripts have been posted. Hope it's useful.
