Quite a lot of work was done since the last update - beside hardly visible minor adjustments the hip (incl waist and lower back) has been reshaped once again. Area below the armpits will get some more refinements when reworking the arm. Next will be some last adjustments of the structure on the torso (you won't be bored with that anymore ), followed by reworking the head (the next update).

Yea, I must say, that mid-section is now very sexy and tight. I'm looking forward to the head, but it was looking great as it was. You'll probably come up with something astonishing again

Regards
Giom

Thanks for your support, PKD!
Yeah, the pubic hair was added again, experiencing some troubles with shadows under the hair. I'm not sure yet about creating a tasteful nude for the final presentation, or to add some clothings...

There is always a grey area of what the general perception of artistic nude & pure pornogarphic.

Imagine when you are young & just starting to drawing figures study & try not to let your parent see them. Well at least I did. Until now (for me at least), there is alway the insecurity of perception of others, when I creating nude, or should I say, unclothed models.

Anyway, let me look up some reference pictures that maybe helpful, after my day work.

mdrid: thanks a lot for your kind words!

PKD: Actually i didnít have these problems with drawing nudes as a child. I was around ten years old when being in a drawing class doing sketches of more or less naked humans, wearing not more than some towels (in a special school in Budapest). I felt they did all look old and ugly, but it was a great change after heaving drawn bottles and bottles for quite a while.

However, i care about keeping this thread more or less G-rated and the final work as well, not showing more nudity than you could expect in a fashion magazin. (my last renders werenít that realistic yet, and the missing parts gave them a certain abstraction - so i hope everyone can handle this amount of polygonal nudity)

For the final thing i have several possibilities in mind, but not sure yet what to do - having an other idea almost each day...

While Gretchen is getting some unspectacular refinements, I've finally got a concept for the presentation - a small series of nudes with a little story behind:

Around 1910, in a small Alpine village. The son of a portrait photographer is looking for more artistic fulfilment than he believes to see in his father's work. To prove his talent, he's planning nothing less than a series of nude photographs, while his father being on tour, portraying race horses. He even succeeds in talking the most beautiful girl of the village into posing nude for the artistic shooting. When the significant event arrives, he has some difficulties with handling his father's photographic apparatus, being unaware of the tiny lock of the shutter release. The girl is waiting and waiting, but the young artist is not able to manage a single take. He later becomes a good portrayer, not doing any nude photographs in his lifetime.

Planned are three different renders, showing the girl waiting in the studio. The plot will help to get the same mood in each picture, but I'm not sure about adding it to the presentation.

Overview:

And here the sketches, resp renders in sketch-style (done with an other character):

No 1: The first picture in the 'Waiting Nudes' series. Colour mood evtl a bit warmer.

No 2: At least this one in B&W.

No 3: Slightly lascivious pose, provoking the guy in vain to start with taking photographs. Probably in colour instead of sepia-toned.

What do you think? (still open for changes and other ideas...)

Hi there.

I think the shots are very artistically done. Is it done in the 3D render or post work?

Finally got to see the face again, but wow, was she pretty!

However, I don't know if I am alone, somehow, she looks a little underage to me. Especially the first picture by the clock. She looks 14-16. But it could be the style of the render, her petite frame, or the hair braiding.

I like very much! The fact that you have a story enhance the whole experience of seeing the pictures.

I know some girls to look much younger than they are - to their detrement. But it's not anything to consider in cg work, I think. It's all fiction.

I like all the compositions, except maybe the first one at the clock. I think you need to see her feet as well. Just my opinion.

Great stuff, though! Can't wait to see more.

Giom

Thanks at lot for commenting!

The pictures were quite quickly done: the colour mood of the renders were adjusted in PW and the result was loaded into a sketch editor. I don't love it too much either, but it appeared ok for the conceptual style of the images (to learner88: the final renders won't have such effects, I'll try to do them photoreal). I was doing them in 3D to be able to play around with the lighting, giving a better idea about final set-up.

About the age of the model:
Agree with the critique - the character used for the sketches (done around 2000) has been quickly restyled to look a bit like Gretchen, and became somewhat too skinny, especially in the first two pictures.
However, I'm trying to depict a 19yo real person, who is actually known for her doll-like face. More about the reference, when showing the refinements of the face...

Perhaps you're right Giom about the first picture, I wasn't sure about that either. I'll do a full view as well, to see how it fits into the series.

Thanks again

philnolan3d: thanks a lot!

The first picture of the concept quickly redone to see how it goes with the others (the quality isn't worth showing the large version). Undies are just hastly painted (will need some historical underwear research, haha). The new wall panel would be added also into the other set-ups (if used). What I like now is the overall colour mood. Only the similar viewing angles are bugging me - perhaps I'll move the character to the other side of the background paper, keeping the pose in the same perspective, evtl with a door or/and a tiled stove behind...
