Interesting use of this engine I must say. Looks very impressive already.
I'll be keeping an eye on this project ![]() Cobra 6 __________________

Where would you get it? I searched and can't find anywhere that one can get the engine itself for free. Would be fun to toy around with this and maybe learn something. |

Thanks.
Between the two pictures with the mossy stone, which one looks better ? The first picture or the third ? swampthing : I'm not sure where you can find it, since I used the demo more then 3 years ago. But I'm sure you can find it with google. You need to install Crysis 1 demo and Sandbox Editor. And the demo and the editor are fully functional. Or you can buy the Crysis disc which also includes the Editor. __________________

Oh so you are doing all this with just the sandbox editor that comes with the game? That's even more impressive. I thought you were using the actual cryengine development kit.

Yep, everything made with the Sandbox Editor. In a few days I will have some new movies with more features, including some real time video compositing right inside the editor.

Just a quick test, low anti-aliasing animation. I was testing the white shader and the look of this insect.
Also the look on the wings animation. The motion blur on the wings it's actually an accurate 3d motion blur. But the wings should beat faster I think, even though the video is in slow motion. EDIT : I'm not sure how believable or passable is this insect, but you should keep in mind this is suppose to be a very small insect. Smaller than a common fly http://download.vam-online.com/test..._insect-640.mp4 6.5 MB ![]() ![]() EDIT : Some vines render tests in Cryengine - with different materials ![]() ![]() ![]() __________________

I hope in a week or two I will have ready the first from a series of short movies.
3 pics from the old scene - with a lot of improvements, although subtle, maybe they are not visible. And as usual, don't forget to leave me those useful feedbacks and harsh and acid critiques ![]() ![]() Still tell me if you spot errors, mistakes, low poly models or any kind of possible improvements. I want this to look good. 3d movie like, and not game like. The color correction is not final. For the final movie I will go with a little less saturated colors ![]() ![]() ![]() And again some modeled plants and trees (just ignore the background and the low poly crysis assets) : tree : ![]() ![]() ![]() wine detail ![]() .... pictures in the next post ... |

Your assets look very good! How does this moss work exactly? Hair and things like that usually do not look so good in games.

Thank you. And it's nothing fancy. They are just polygonal objects not actually hair or fur solutions.
