Any C&C are appreciated!

Hi guys,

This is the last render of my Audi 2014-2015 I have made.
Is good, but something is missing.
Any C&C are appreciated.

Now you can see the car_paint and the paint_flakes working correctly.
The reflection on the hood are a little bit too strong for my taste. Im not so sure.
I will apply another future to the car_paint, but i need to wait.
I need to finish another work first.

Somehow the PosPro. glow effect made in Photoshop is now altered after the upload. Became more intense.

The interior is coming soon... after I finish my Entry for the "Visteon: Driving Innovation" Challenge. (Link under my signature)

I think you should turn way down those two highlights.
They are very distracting.

Other than that.. perfect!

Hi utopia780,

Yes, I will definitely do that. Is actually accurate, but somehow a Picture or Photo like that looks exaggerated and strange.

Im look every where and the lights in a real Photo are also like that.
But I will change that.

Thumbs up utopia780!

Hi my friend
Great modeling , i see it right now only!

Model is well done, but I am not fan of your lighting setup, I think, that you should add lights to define curves and creases of the car, and chrome also depends a lot from env. also look as all white reflections fade from white back to red, it looks like you have no fresnel on those two light strips and I dont think bloom all over the place is good idea, maybe on lights yes, but just really sudden, to tell viewer that it is source of light

check this reference http://carsautosglobal.com/wp-conte...udi-TT-RS-2.jpg and try to think what did you do differently and why and when you have all lights and reflections done properly, than save scene and think out of the box and make your scene somewhat interesting

I hope it helps

Well what I have in mind is to put the car in a garage.
-Where the Lights are close to the car on the roof.
-Light coming from other room. Maybe a TV light or Kitchen light.

When you have to close a light the paint will burn and because the car is covering the light at least at 80% the room will be dark.

Even if you have a garage that has bee well illuminated those lights will burn the car paint.

Well the chrome has it own behavior.

But sure. The lights has a fresnel effect.

Ok so I will try to explain it a bit better now

1. that lighting setup felt a bit weird to me because you have lights that simulate windows on a garage, but rest of the scene is clearly a studio (the blue background)

my own tastes are: either do a single colored background with studio lights that are set to define curves of the car OR put realistic environment like garage in the background and use realistic lights as you used to simulate windows on garage

2. chrome: it is also my personal opinion. it seems just a bit boring to me, give it something to reflect

3. fresnel: what I really meant to say was: you have fresnel reflections on your car paint shader, but those two main lights on top were so bright that their reflection was just white

4. as I said, it was too much bloom for me, but as you mentioned that glow effect in PS became more intense it is not a problem anymore

Thank you for your suggestion. As I said. I will work on the scene. This will be a garage scene
I dont like HDR images. Is to easy.
Im lerning how to create faster renders and how to light a scene.
Im learning

BTW Do you have any render from you as a reference for me?
That will be awesome.

Beautiful model , keep it up!

But what bothers me a bit, the windshield seems to float. I think a rubber strip between the carroserrie and the windshield will help a lot.

Nice, that GTI has the same engine as mine:

Audi

TFSI engines

I made some pics with a friend from an R8 a while ago in a dark garage that might help:

and

But it had a brushed metal wrap.
