Model is now in unreturnable to preposed stage due to zbrush issue....If I have time; I would have fix it, but as it stand, I will to make do, & return to previous file (when the models are not broken), to continue after making this one off Christmas special.

Almost done with Zbrush. Leg still need to be textured....& then, back to Maya for final setup for rendering.

Very nice progress and I love glove with it's wrinkles, looks very natural. I would go for B.
I hope you can sort out the rigging issues...

Cheers

Thanks. I am going for A, base on feedbacks at the official Tomb Raider forum.

I somehow manage to sort out the posing issue, & now I am done with it, did more texturing work. I didn't even notice the corpse like skin before. The sunkiss skin looks much better now.

back to Maya to make final setup & renders.

Shamelessly using pass assert for the background, due to time constraint. It took me 3 hours to bring in the models, & put them into position. Next step is to link the texture files. (Maya doesn't automatically link the texture to the source folder).

let me know what you guys think.

I manage somehow to finish the Christmas special. It could be much improve, but consider the lack of time, I am pretty happy with the result.

I hope to improve thism so not submitting this yet, just post here for the people who frequent the WIP sections.

Merry Christmas everyone.

The model is epic, as well as her texture Great job.
After watching the amazing model come along, I'm a bit disappointing with the render. It's nice, but not quite as epic as I was hoping. But alas, such is the way of sudden deadlines
Look forward to seeing more stuff!

Render is unfortunately my Achilles Heels. The deadline doesn't help of course, as the background was slam together in 2 hours 4 days ago, & renders was done yesterday.

Btw, I would love to hear where can be improve, in case I missed anything.

I like the Christmas idea, it turned out good! I just wish there was something extra to identify her as Laura Croft. Right now her identity is only hinted from the sign.

Thanks. Good for you to even spotted it.

I think maybe a pick axe would be also a good idea. Anyway, the idea is to provide subtle hint. I thought of putting greeting cards from other chracters in Lara game, but I do not have time to put it in, beside the writing would be maybe too small to be clear.

I try also to avoid putting guns & other stuff not suitable for the occasion of Christmas. Have I more time, I would have make more things from sketches, but its a good experience, to work under time pressure & meeting the deadline.

Anyway, I updated the images, softening her skin (less oilly, shiny now), & brighten up the scene with brighter lighting, among other minor tweak.

Also, I add a GOTY (Game of the year) trophy in the scene.

Playing around with more modern clothings. I must be an oddy for a 3D character artist, that doesn't do any Science-friction and fantasy design.

I have no time pressure, so hopeful I manage to spend more time on rendering & lighting , my biggest weaknesses.

Ignore the material & colors, its only for visualisation purpose.
Screencap in Zbrush.
