3D mansion room 1

I am creating a photographic series composited with 3D environments. Therefore I am going for the most photorealistic renderings possible. I am fairly new to 3D (4months) and would love feedback and opinions on how to make this look more realistic. This is just the save image from mental ray (no render passes or anything yet, no AO either) I took it into photoshop and did some sharpening in the wood, and adjusted the lighting a little bit. I mainly am concerned about the wood parts, those are my latest creations (I say that because each new thing I make I get better and better)

Would really appreciate feedback! Thanks
