*Please Comment* A character for a Animation Short Im working on for 2014

Here is a character for an animation short Im working on for 2014. These are just test renders so nothing is composited yet. Just wanted a feel on the direction Im going. The story is a karate action flick that takes place in China. I would truly truly truly appreciate your critique so please add one.
Since Im on this topic has anyone every tried kinect motion capture, like ipi soft or faceshift?

The UVs around the hair and eyebrows look strange. You also may want to smooth out the eyelid modeling a bit, as well as under the eyes. Overall it looks decent though.

Thanks. I'm def doing the hair over again and I tweaked the eyes yesterday. I also started experimenting with my GI and came up with this render. Let me know what you think?

Hey man,

Could you fill us in with a few lines as to what kind of look your going for? Is this meant to be a digital body double of a real actor for a live action film?

I'm now going for a more realistic look. This will be an all animation short. I was going for something like Polar Express but now Im starting to be in favor of something like beowulf.

You've has a nice start here. The renders look good but perhaps a bit dark. You might also consider another look at the eyes. I think they might be a bit big. And the actual eye lid looks a bit off. As you post more updates it will be easier for others to critique.

So I increased the HDRI lightning and adjusted the eyes for this photo.
