First overall clay

I thought u might want to have an overall view of the work done so far, so here is.
Tha car still lacks the following details:
-doors handles + locks
-rear hood handle + lock
-rear window's vent
-vents behind the side windows
-wipers
-brakes
-plate
-plate's lights
-front hood vent's lock
and...the whole interior

Anyway, this is what i have achieved so far. Thanks for watching

Looks good, I love the details! All looks so smooth and clean.

Cheers

@ Andre
Thanks mate, really appreciated
Yep, it has been quite difficult to match accuracy and smoothness since this car is all curves and the blueprints were pretty bad. More or less i think i got the target, but the road is long still, we'll see how it will turn .

Maybe bad blueprint but this piece is SUPERB!, congratulations.

@ ArtDigital
Thank u very much.
The wheels thou are frankly too big in diameter, this is the classic case where the blueprints gave me a wrong suggestion, so i'll easily scale them since they're right as proportions.

In the meanwhile i'm doing some fixings and corrections here and there. I'm very picky and i think if a work can be done better, it has to be done better, that's why i've slightly modified the front end (green circled area, Oscar.J pointed that out on SMC) and i'm remodeling part of the upper back (rear window area) which doesn't give me a perfect reflection. I mean that i try to reach the perfection (it's not possible to reach it at 100%) but if u don't try at least, u'll never get some good result. I'm picky, i'm stubborn, sometimes i fail, sometimes i win.

Anyway,this is the fixed area.

This is the whole carbody after some fixings, corrections and refinements. Nothing's of big or spectacular, but, in my opinion, necessary. The details are the same still of the last posts. So, the car lacks 7-8 little parts, apart from the interior and the 3D environment.

I'm adding other details, like the doors's handles and locks, the Ferrari logo aand the buttons under the doors. I hope to do not bore posting these little steps. There's alot to do still.

Here u are some details along the way: Door's handle with lock, rear hood handle with lock and Ferrari logo, fuel cap, mirror/belt/vent + cover and brake disc + pad. The brake isn't detailed but i tried to be a bit accurate even if it's hidden at the most. To be precise the true thing has a different pad on the rear axle, but i've kept the same pad for both.

Details again. These are the upper side vents, the one behind has a moveable cover and should have a lock system too but it's not clear how it's done looking at the ref. The squared vent has been a nightmare to fillet .

Honestly I'm really jealous of your skills, haha

Old 09 September 2013   #42
Thank u, but i don't think to have particular skills.

Anyway, here's the wipers and rear window's plastic vent. I have to model the plate and the plate's light still then the exterior will be finally finished. Then i'll do 4 clays for the exterior so i'll start to model the interior. Once finished i'll seriously start to menage true material renders and to model the 3D environment.

Well, looking at works like ''Shades of Dambu'' by Hugues Giboire (posted in the homepage) or that stunning James bond by Luc Bgin i feel almost ashamed to keep on posting here...lol...anyway...ehm..i've finally finished the exterior, and this is how the car looks in these clay renders.
Maybe i should add some panel behind the triple side vents to fill the holes, i'll see after. Now i'll model the interior then i'll start to do true studio renders with all the materials and textures. Thanks for watching

I'm starting the low poly interiors, undetailed since i need to fill the internal space through the windows only.
This is a realtime shaded viewport, so, poor quality.

This is a render of what i've modeled so far, very few frankly. The reason why u see the rev counter only is because i've modeled that only...lol...anyway the other 5 instruments (water pressure and temp, oil pressure and temp, fuel) will follow soon.
