Sef Grey: Styled character

Hi there,

I prepare for the past month my future Kickstarter project. And I wonder if you there comments and critics my first character.

Sef Grey is a 14 years old rebel student from the Drakstone Acamedy (A supernatural school).

For now I didn't do a single folds or head texture or hairs. So you can critic the style, the look, the color, the proportion...

I'm plan to use Softimage and Arnold renderer for the all project.

I really like this so far, in terms of character design, the just the lack of wrinkles on trousers (which look like horse riding leggings at the moment) and shirt put it off a little, which you have mentioned but it's still early days, I like the irregular tie knot though.

Try some folds for the look. I will go to the face next.

I forgot the hair on this one. Try a lips texture and reflection map. Eyebrows are a mess but it's weird without them on a face

i would also loosen up the hat so it doesnt look like a stocking over his head. some wrinkles here and there, and also more apparent thickness.

K just the toque?

I adjust the toque like Kybel suggest. You were right about the size and thickness. Thanks.

I add the eyebrow in hair (Test for now, not realy sure of the result)

I add the eyelashes too. And detail the skin texture.

Ahh and change the color of the eye for green. Because my other male character have the blue eyes. soo for a clear difference between them.

The folds on the shirt nearer the clavicle end look very procedural and unnatural but my main concern is that your character is starting to look like Justin Bieber...

Is it a bad thing?? lol Justin Bieber is a teen idol.

anyway, it's a character like other.

Did you think about adding some kind of a backpack or a male handbag? Also you can add some pimples on his face and pockets in trousers. By the way your character is pretty nice I like this style. Have you been inspired by the computer game ʺBullyʺ?
Old 08 August 2013   #12
The style is base on Jack Frost a little. But yah maybe indirectly I use Bully. But The school uniform of the private school are so identical.

Thanks for the comments. Nah didn't think about the backpack good idea. The pocket on the trousers will follow. I didn't finish the pants topology any way. Just want to do more on the top part for now.

I start the main character.

Deeply in love with her best friend from elementary school, she follow him in his middle school: Drakstone Academy, a school of monsters and supernatural creatures in human form.

For now, She look wierd because of no folds, no hair or eyebrows. lol But I want to share the main body with you. comments plz

Storyline is looking pretty cool. In terms of the charachter there is nothing to comment on for now. We're waiting for more details. The only thing I can write is that the fold on the chick is adding her +15 years and I don't think this is what you wanted to achieve.

You don't need jet
You don't need pet
If you don't know yet
Everything you need is met
