dirty_WiP: LandCruiser 100 "Awakening"

Hi, guys!
I am a newbie here, and want to introduce my primary wip "Awakening". The main theme is to show quite simple car but in native enviroment for it. I`ve seen many works with cars and notice some ..mmm.. problem. Sport car like ferrari should be rendered on a track or italy mountain roads, its ok, the brand new BMW in front of business center, its ok too, but why car like hummer, cruiser, ... often stay on glass-like asphalt without even puddle of mud ?!
Of course, there are some exceptions here. I saw beautiful "dirty-works", but the main stream is such as I have described.

This work i`ve started 4 years ago (29 july 2009). Yes-yes, huge amount of time, the train of time, but i am working on it only under the inspiration and between paid work. Twice traveled to the Crimean peninsula, in the wild woods, walking in the rain looking at the wet cars like crazy Theft Auto
Now it is on finish line almost. I have set time limit to 4 weeks to get render stage. (failed, upd 08.06.2014)

Very impressed with your model. It's hard to do realistic dirt and grime.

Hello everyone.
It is a huge break which got my wip should become a start of a new part of the work.

And for the first, i decided to roll back to the car model and rebuilt front part of suspension. There are some problems in the front view camera.

After those tiny changes, the next plan is looks like this
- Details to the ground beneath the car, deep dirty marks of the tyres.
- Visible border between pure dirt of the road and the roadside with grass and some fallen leaves.
- Moving on from the car area to the deep inside forest. Step by step to the trees, bushes and other big parts of the background.

Wow! Fantastic work on the model and the dirt.

I do think it looks a little too vertical. I'm far from an off road expert, but I think it might look good with some arching streaks of mud and dirt from where the tires splashed mud on the sides.

Faced with lack of Ram problem :(
It takes almost 40gb ram for just car and 20*20m ground. Even without enviroment and other low-d ground :(
While searching for solve, will work with separate parts.


p.s. minus 2 detail lvls for max viewport
