Need assistance texture (rebar)

Ok first off, do you have reference/pictures of real objects? rusted and clean? If not get them, study them. Rust doesn't just happen randomly. There is a reason for rust. For instance chipped paint exposing bare metal. Or where water/moisture might collect more easily. Where these rebars in something (ie concrete) or sitting in the yard? The ones on the bottom might have been siting on the ground and might be rusting more than the ones on top (I am guessing I would have to look at more reference to get a better understanding). The ends might be completely rusted because they where cut and therefore more easily rusted. Along this same line the ridges might have banged together a lot and become scraped and rusted, while the grooves might be lwss rusted. Again study some pictures and see what you find.
