Wow that is really impressive work. How did you manage to get so much detail reference for this thing?

Artdigital: Thank You, I think that major difficulty here was created to deal with two low poly bases, first was to achieve nice and round shape of the car but it was too simple to add detail like side vents or front vents. I decided that I will convert it again with TS and add this things but with no chamfers etc. After that it was a last convert where I could add smaller details, chamfer everything. Generally there were quite a lot of tricky places, this car looks simple due to brilliant design I think, but there are a lot of sharp turns and corners on rounded sufraces which in poly can be very annoying. I also tried to avoid manual moving of verticles, when I had to push any huge surface I was using FFD modifiers which are just brilliant for that kind of modeling and many other.

entertainment: Thank You, we will be in touch

sunchao2008, JDMedia: Thank You, when exterior will be finished I will move back to interior, but don't worry there aren't many things left

I'm not posting any updates on model, because I'm still dealing with brake calipers, which is quite boring and long :P

However I was trying to improve my Photoshop skills, so here are two renders made recently which were post-processed quite strongly:

And here is small before/after (base render was quite bad, but the goal was to tweak it in pp as much as I can):

Regards,
Phil

AJ1, WChestnutt: Thank You! As soon as exterior is finished I'm moving back to interior

Here is small progress on detaling front of the car; I'm trying to fix any problems I can spot but there are still many of them I think.

And correction of headlight shape:

After:

Hi Philip.
U must be the same Berger who posted some Mercedes-Benz technical detaisl on SMCars i suppose.
Anyway, great SLS model. I'd not put too many efforts in doing the calipers unless u're gonna do some close wheels' renders.
I've seen your #11 post render is on the latest ''HDRI 4free'' advertisement, congratulations
The only thing is just a strange feeling watching at the car in its overall...i mean, it almost seems too much smoothed in some areas which probabilly should be a bit more edgy, not sure about it thou. Anyway, i repeat, great work and very precise modeling.

Kangal: Thank You, sorry I haven't noticed Your post earlier Yes, there will be close-up on this areas for sure, at least 2, so I want them to be good-loooking. About the edges - I'm not sure about few places but I don't want to touch them until there is a need to do it. Also I think that this impression is different in different lighting screnarios.

cgilife: Thank You

Another update, the rim needed remodelling as it was quite poor quality, so here is new one with much better accuracy and detaling. It's missing now only a AMG badge and new central Merc logo. And don't pay attention to the pinch inside screw holes, I accidentally converted mesh with one edge chamfered there, so it will be easily fixed.

And another test render, main goal was to achive good-looking car paint shader with flakes. I used vray carpaint shader which is quite good after a little tune-up. Tyre and brake caliper is poor quality but it was a test so I didn't pay much attention to this area.

Full-res

Regards,
Phil

Hello again
I had no time yet to continue the interior but I started my summer holidays so now I should have much more time. Anyway I'm adding 4 simple test renders and a free model - Dodge Viper 2008 - I came across it while cleaning up my disc, I won't be using it anymore so now it's free to use for anyone who wants to. It's 3 years old so it's not that good, but should be ok for example for some test renderings.

Down here the HDRI is a bit messed up, so there is problem with reflecting the yellow lines:
