First of all, you should fix the pose, model looks good, just the pose, it looks unnatural

alright! ill do it the next pose.
should start animating soon too.
any ideas how to make background+matte paintings to composite later in nuke?

The bacground looks cool, but the character does not rly seem to be part of it, you could do something like hole under his feet, so it does not look like he's just floating there.
sorry for my English

hey guys.
so i started to work on his head but its not quite "there" yet
i hope i can get guidance from those professionals out there on CG society to help put me on the right track.

Hey, I am not a proffesional, but here I go: The neck seems to be too "fat", I would make it a bit thinier, and the ears seems kinda unnatural, try to work with a little more reference

yeah the ears are off... i should fix them asap.
and for the neck well he is kind of a big guy so dunno about that. and it wont really be seen
