Smile Hungry Turtle

Hello! This is my first post to this site. I recently created this scene as a school project. Now that the class is over, I would like to push it further. Any advice would be appreciated.

This was created using Maya.

It's a lovely image. I think that certain areas are lacking in specularity though, like the turtle shell, jar lid and to a lesser extent the book. Adding some light and/or modifying the shaders would pick up on some detail and add contrast. At the moment the scene looks a bit "flat" like it was a picture taken on a cloudy day.

Thumbs up

Thank you very much for your reply. Now that you mention it, there does seem to be a bit of a mismatch between the bottle and the rest of the scene. I will definitely explore this avenue in my next edits.
