Tantive IV Hangar - Descendants of Order 66

Hi all,

Well its been a while since I posted anything up on here ,so thought it was about time I did

Below is one of the environments I am working on for a Star Wars fan film entitled Descendants of Order 66 (Descendants of Order 66)

The guys at PoodooFX are also using my Tantive IV corridor which this hangar area leads onto.

So this is the first stage completed, next is to get to work on the floor area which will fold/slide away allowing a ship to enter / leave. The central area has to stay clear as this space is where eventually the ship will be

OK a little update, some rough renders (to tweak your interest ) as I continue to work on the bay floor mechanism...

OK here is the final floor (open) layout, down to the final detailing now

Nice. Was wondering what your rendering with....Vray? The reason i ask is that the light rig you got going is spot on! Looks like something out of the films. Are you planning on putting the x wing inside?

I am rendering with iray (3dsmax2013), with some post work in PS (colour and lighting corrections) which consists of an overlay/gradient/brightness&contrast/ and finally a desaturation layer.

As for the lighting rig I opted for a simple setup, the scene is lit via illuminated materials on the light panels (with a very low hdri environment)

A little update below, and next is to get to work on the outer hull which sits below the girders.
