My first human/organic model...

...And I somehow ended up giving him the most punchable face. I don't know what it is... but something about him seems really off to me.

He's not meant to be realistic or anything, just kind of a basic cartoony/stylized dude. But I'm still not 100% satisfied with the end result, so I'd like critique on mostly his face. Also I have a bigger issue with the hair that I'll get to below.

This was done following a DT tutorial.

Now, my issue with the hair, is that it doesn't get rendered in mentalray, even though it does in maya software.

The hair was done by shaping and placing multiple planes on top of the head, then using a file of hair in the color slot. And an alpha file in the transparency slot of the texture.

Thank you so much in advance for any advice/criticism and for looking at my stuff.
