Running Bear

Hi everyone !

I want to have some suggestions about a project begun at start of the year.
Here is my last render :

Made with Maya.
Maybe the texture of the bear is not enough good I think.
Hope you enjoy

The bear texture does look a little odd, but you should be able to fix it easily enough seeing as you were able to pull off a good overall job. I like the concept too, very original.

Maybe others suggestions ? I tried to post it in 3D Choice Gallery but it didn't have the quality needed.

I agree about the bear texture. The lower left corner of your image looks to devoid of stuff. I'd put more carnival things there to give it more depth and background detail. Since it is a carnival, I'd expect to see more litter on the ground to. Great concept.

Keep it up

Cool man! I really like the piece.

It might help to tweak your background so your characters stand out a little more. It took me a few seconds of studying before I found the panda, and was able to see what the scene is about.

Try adding something above black behind the panda, and maybe take some lights off the Ferris wheel to darken it and bring out the girl a little more. Your panda might also stand out well against your red vending machine. The lights on the vending machines also seem a little bright. Its drawing attention away from your characters.

The arms on the girl also look a little thin, almost to the point where it looks alien. The highlight on the bottom of the bears eye doesn't make any sense. I would image the bear should be lit from the top, and thus the highlights would be around the top of the eye.
