I have just very recently started working on cg stuff, and for what Iíve seen there isn't one single work in here to which i can even come close to in terms of quality. But we do have to start somewhere donít we?

So this is a model I made from a chair I had built in university. This was the real model:

This is what i came up with (using 3ds Max 2013):

And using this lighting setup (using Vray Adv. 2.3):

I made this render:

Now, a couple of things about this. My purpose is to create some sort of fly-through animation with this, in a product presentation style. But I'm having a bit of a struggle with the lighting setup and the render quality\time, which I intend to set straight before starting animating.

The thing is that on the render I posted (which has a bunch of problems of its own) I'm having two very distinct light outcomes when looking through two different pc screens. On my laptop (where i first made it) it looks soft, a bit bright (not quite enough but thatís not really the point here) and i get like a creamy yellow fainted light on the left. On my desktop though, the general image is much much darker, and the contrast is much higher. The soft yellow becomes almost brown and it all looks terrible.

So can anyone cast some light on me into this? Does it have something to do with render file settings, or is it something that varies from screen to screen and is out of your control. If that is so, how can one ever be sure that others are seeing what you want them to see? Any other useful tips will be well accepted as well.

Sorry for the long post. I'll try to keep it updated as the scene evolves.
