Legends of Warcraft: Sylvanas (Nudity)

Hey guys,

I am starting a new project and I want to share my progress on the forum. The project is a series of high-poly film quality models of iconic characters from Warcraft. I've give the series the title Legends of Warcraft so the threads for other characters in the future will be recognizable. The first character I'm doing is Sylvanas and this thread will host progress pics of the model. I will do my best to finish as much characters as I can but as of now, I do not have a set amount of characters I plan to do.

My goal is to gain a lot of experience modeling various characters, and also to use them in my demo reel. I love the Warcraft series and the work of Blizzard, and I hope I will do the characters justice.

For now I've sculpted a reference model which I will retopolgize.

I just recently played the Warcraft and Frozen Throne, and she is such a great character.
Will you make her Elven version, or Banshee (after the dead) version? I guess she will be Banshee, because of those sculls on her armor.

Great progress so far, though I think she would look prettier if you make her face more kind of spiky, and less round, something like in this reference:

@D4rk3lf Thanks, I did what you told me but I'm still not done with the face, later I'll return to it to match the likeness more precisely once I have the whole model. I've also increased her breasts according to the reference.

As of now I still have no clue how I'll do the hair, I'll try a few methods later and see what works best. There are a few things I'm uncertain about...
I'm not sure how to go about unwarapping the armor parts, the details are very long and narrow and long objects when unwrapped are tricky to place into the uv square unless chopped up... I have an idea, but I guess I'll see to that later. I also planned to rig this but I have very little experience rigging so it will be challenging to rig this kind of model with loads of separate parts. I guess if I run into problems I'll ask you guys about it.

Another update... Unwrapping this will be a treat :P PS: I am gonna rework her whole proportions, she needs to be taller and stronger, somewhat like a giant but slim... it's gonna be a pain refitting the armor

As I mentioned I would, I redone the whole proportions to make her look more like Sylvanas, I was not digging that normal girl look, she needs to be big and powerful, with exaggerated female features which is what I tried to do in this next update. Cheers

Ok, I've done the bump maps, and some basic materials, no textures yet other than bump maps, still have diffuse, spec, gloss, etc maps to do. Next I will focus on maps for the body and face, gonna make her look photo real without the armor, and then I'll do the armor textures afterwards.

Progress pic. Still a lot to be done in terms of tweaking, adding feathers, finishing up the cloak, texturing the bow, doing the hairs, and then applying a rig and posing. My goal is for this character to look great even when zoomed in very close.
