Pocket Watch

Hi, I am a 3D Game student and this is my first big project for my demo reel. During school I've found that my passion is through modeling and texturing. I'm hoping for suggestions and critique to make this project the best it can be. Thank you.

This is the pocket watch I've made.

I really like the chain in this model. It is nice modeled. I think that the problem with the renders is just the background chosen, i would personaly change it.
There is also some perception of the object being completely flat. I guess it is because the geometry itself is actually a bump or a displacement map.
Notice the very bright spots of light that the material reflects. Maybe you should also consider moving the light, not facing it directly to the object.
