Still on(My first animated Project)

Hello Everyone,

I would like to show you my personal project i am working on nowadays.

I am creating an Environment of a big farm field with a house in the middle this is some what an exterior idea.

i have started the modeling of house and some other assets
There are total 5 main assets in Exterior.
House
ScareCrow
Windmill
Truck
and the wheat field ground.

Taking that in mind that i have 8 gb of ram and onboard intel graphic .I will try not to fill my shots with million of polys O.O and go out of memory at the time of rendering in mental ray O.O

Here are some Renders of Modeling Done in Autodesk Maya.

More to come soon

Feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks
-Dushyant

I looks very nice. I like how you're able to make it look old even before getting to textures.

It would be nice to upload bigger images. all I'm seeing right now are almost thumbnails.

Nice work!

I really like it so far. The house (reference image) looks like the house from that movie the 'burbs. (or was it "the suburbs"?) That movie where its set in the suburbs and like there are all these normal houses like a suburb would have, and then a creepy run down victorian era house that looks all spooky and has like inbred hillbillys living in it. You should check that movie out, the house in that movie could give you some great insight into how the house will look in motion.

Like I said the modeling looks great so far. I am working on a similar project and am finding the texturing, lighting and appropriate render settings (I'm using VRay) to be a little more challenging. Keep posting, I look forward to seeing more!

Cool man!

Could you maybe fill us in with some more info about your project? What kind of look are you going for? Realistic? Stylized?

You've don't a great job of capturing the essence of the house, but your truck looks a little lackluster compared to your reference. Your wheel arches look a little flat, the grill look over simplified and square, and the hood looks too round. I think your cabin should be taller, and the wheels smaller. It looks too low to the ground and modern, not tall and awkward like in your reference. A lot of the corners of your body panels are too rounded off, and overall, your truck seems to have lost some of the personality of the reference.

I think you've also got some normal issues on your truck, but I'm sure you know how to fix those.

-AJ

I'm still working on the boat... Ill post an update soon. Thanks for asking.

Thanks for the advice i will make the correction and post it again soon.

Here is some more info about project.

I am going for a scary evening shot of 5:30-6 Pm and and will do in semi-realistic style. There is no character in the short i have planed to make a 1 n half min of shot with Pov cam animation(hand held cam)
which comes out from a tall grassy field towards the house(exterior elements ) and then interior shot.
overall i want to create a scary mood in the middle of a big wheat field with
most view-hut, scare-crow
secondary elements-windmill farm truck a and some other stuffs outside the house.

Thanks

You're always sticking to your references pretty well, and it is working. I am liking all the details, with what you have right now, there would already be a nice amount of them.

Keep working !
