hi guys, I decided to put this imege here so I can receive feedback....my idea at the begining was only made an image of this character integrated into the back, however I am trying to improve the textures and lighting and maybe the back because the resolution ofthe back is not so high as the resoluction of the character itself

the textures I am trying to get is a kind of matte metal texture, kind of military armor as you can see the metal parts are mainly mate just some of them have scratches...maybe looking at the image would be nice to add more reflectivity and spec ?

I am planing to change maybe the pose and maybe the back what do you think?
I know the back is simple no drama there

for thisimage I use MAYA...MUDBOX for the diffuse color, then other maps in photoshop the rendered I use was Mentalray, Iuse Mia_MAterials and SSS skin for the wings arms and legs

the lighting is very simple is just one directional light, I wouldlike to improve it

I wpuldlike to receive critics for improving textures, lighting and back for give it more drama and a better look develop

Some spec would improve it greatly. I wouldn't worry too much about lights as it's an outdoor direct sunlight image.
I like to learn.

added some spec to the maps so the metal looks a little more specular and reflective
I also will apply a glossy map and impreve texturing using more dust layers

I think some metal parts could be improved adding more props to the model
maybe some self iluminated shaders for some parts

what do you think

hi I have been working with the textures the metal seccion, I use mia material layered
I continue to work on this I will try to post often but my work limit me

what do you think about the textures

I prefer to work on layering mia materials to have more specific control, the pictures before where developed with one mia material and working with the spec and glossy map but that method is not enough to have more deep on the texturing

hope you can advise me more......

The model itself, to me, looks pretty good. What program(s) are you using?
