The restaurant, the food, the character all look great. I do think, however, that the cartoony style of the character clashes a bit with the hyper-realism of the restaurant. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the white vignette.

I like the character a lot but then I'm a fan of stylized realism...i agree with the poster above though that the vignette isn't a good idea.

Nice render! To me, the style works well, the thing that bothers me most (other than the vignette which i agree isnt really working) is the clash between the guys clothing and his surroundings. There's possibly a story behind that, but it doesnt come across in this image alone, so he feels oddly casual for that setting.
Other than that i really like the colours, the lighting creates a good atmosphere, and the posing has a lot of character and expression. Cool stuff!

Hey man,

Yea, make that 4 about the white vignette.

Could you post a version without the vignette? Its so distracting that its tough to judge the rest of the image.

It definitely looks better without the vignette but the composition needs work. You have all this dead space on the left hand side that's adding nothing meaningful to the image. Shift your camera to place the character onto the left third of the image; this is a basic compositional rule call the rule of thirds and is very versatile. It's a good place to start with many compositions. Moving him to the left also creates more space in the direction his eyes are facing, which feels more comfortable.
