Post Logitech MX 3d model

Hello guys,

I've modeled this logitech mouse. I'm starting to light and shade it now. Will be posting the tests here.

How can I upload images to show in this thread?

Try uploading your images to a site like postimage, or use.com, and use the code:

thanks, this is a draft render with low settings. any suggestions for lighting?

Hey man,

The model looks pretty good!

To help it stand out from your dark background, try to add some rim lighting around the edge. I would turn off specular highlights on your shaders, and use ray traced reflections and white geometry shapes to get your highlights.

mm maybe try a reflective surface for your table. Just something that detach the two. Black on black lose.

Hey man,

It looks a little better, but the highlights could use a little softening. Did you disable specular highlights on your materials?

The plastic on the buttons seems pretty matte in the product photos.

Try lighting your scene with just two or three large area lights, and add some blur to your raytrace reflections on the matte plastic.

Thank you guys!

I'll relight and shade it. Btw I'm using Vray in Maya so if you can give specific shading suggestions, that'll be also appreciated
