Ah, I am sorry to hear that. I guess pretty much every project is with it's own challenges. I usually make a copy of my file every hour, so when things like that happen, I do no lose too much. But it is good to see you are doing well, I guess this is why you do not get much C&Cs and why I thought things were going smoothly for you.

Well after a little break playing Hitman games and watching rigging videos I am now at the same place I was before the crash. That shader is still playing up but I`m not worried.

Just set these off to see how scale was going - I am quite happy with it - need to higher the body up alittle but everything else looks spot on compared to my model in my hand

Sorted out the pistons and moving up the upper body. Also placed the arms in to the right place - I can now start the upper body armer.

Good progress so far! I like the amount of detail you put into your model with regards to how it would actually move it's limbs and how the robot pieces together, I also appreciate the fact that your robot isn't just slammed together, you're actually spending time to make it come forth as a constructed robot that will work in real life, should someone decide to build it.

Thank you guys. Thanks for kind words.

I plan on animating this guy so just slamming together would never work, but then I never work like that anyway. Half the fun for me with 3D is figuring out how thing go together. But I was very lucky with this project - someone has built this guy and photographed the whole thing (see link at start of this thread). Nice to see my efforts not going to waist - this really is a project of passion for me.

Been away for a while as had PC and then cash for repairs problems.

Cracking on with the final leg of the modelling of this beast.

That gears on leg looks non-functional... Maybe you should redo it.

Very close now to the end of the modellering part.

Inner parts of the head now done. Just the side gun and the other cables around the body to go - but those cables I will do while rigging.

Also need to go and fix the back of his head as something funky has now shown up - but should be easy fix
