I am not sure if I watched the latest version of your models animation, but the one I watched was dated to March 8, 2013. I just watched it again and this time could only notice cg edges on a turbofan exterior shape at 1:04 mark, which should be an easy fix. There is also some pinching issues around the windows of the cockpit

Why didn't you choose many of the iconic 1st World War Fokkers? They would have looked really good also.

The latest version should be dated May 30th. I think I smoothed out the turbofan in the latest version so that problem should be solved

Concerning the WWI airplanes, I agree that they would have looked awesome, but I wanted to focus on how the airplanes evolved, and given my short timeframe I only had time to model 4. I wanted to show off the milestones, and these were some of the biggest names in Fokker history. Maybe when I'm all done I might make a WWI Fokker :P

Quick shader test to see how the panel reacts.

Here's a quick render with the whole plane covered in generic textures but with the same shader build up as before.

Just a different angle because the other image was causing the plane to look miniature.

Removed the diffuse texture and changed it to white.
Added a realistic HDR which is the only light source.
Changed the glossiness of the shader from 0.9 to 1.0

I'd say in your test the bump is too strong in certain details (the ridge at the bottom) but in itself it looks quite convincing

As for it applied to the plane, the bump looks a little too strong or small (too noisy) in the panel wobbliness....

Thanks for the tip cobra6. I see what you mean and I'll change that up in the future. In the meantime, I rendered out the F27 and F120NG with the current setup.

So it's been awhile since the last update. Summer holiday got in the way as well as moving to my new apartment. Here are some new renders with maxwell as well as good old vray. I'm currently working on the textures for the F27 Friendship and will be starting on the F120NG this week.

Hope you like em

to me to render with Maxwell seems to be more enjoyable and realistic too, reflexes are sharper.

great job, I'm doing a train to my portfolio. I also intend to complete with textures, rendering and compositing, although starting out can be a tricky task.

sorry my english I'm using google translator.

Finalized the texture on the F-27. On to the F120NG next.

I decided to stick to Vray and try and get as close to the Maxwell render as I could for now. Tweaking of the materials will happen later on before final rendering.

Hope you enjoy

A quick turntable animation of the Fokker F27 Friendship for my graduation project. Still some issues, but these are minor and will be fixed before the final render.

Videos of the other airplanes to follow soon.
