spear of the deep

I am currently studying 3d at cegep de matane in quebec. And i have been asked to post one of my work here to hear your critique and improve myself. Im also sorry if my english is bad i did my best.

Soo for this project i made a spear.

i made a little album showcasing what i have done for now.

the concept: a spear that as been underwater for sometime with a big monster squid thingy attached on it. I trashed the big eye tough.( that is the big black thing in the middle)

The highpoly render,

high poly and low poly side by side

my tentative at making a low poly model to bake normal map on it. ( atm the normal map is not on it just a bump i used on both squid monster thing on my spear and as you can see it does not work very well) Its about 500 polygon.

Did not work maybe you can help me with that ?

this was the first time i ever tried zbrush to. Mostly used it for texturing and polypaint.

All critique are welcome.

P.S : my image would not load on the forum. I assume it has to do with the herberging site ( or maybe the format) i used cause imgur refused to work. If you could give me tip about that to it would be much welcomed. Im sorry.
