the road...

This was a school project and actually i am already done with this project. But I would like some critics anyway to improve it. I been doing 3dsmax for 2-3 month. So if you give me some hardcore advises, please explain in details.
We had the project for 3 days. It should be a road somewhere in the world. I decided to make a road through a city, that all people would hate. Bad weather, bad food, bad beer. This is basically hell.

I see the point of fog added--volumetric cones from the lights... Would fog happen during a down pour, I don't know. The lights hue could be adjusted so it doesn't match the moon, but which color, is a matter of choice., The moon seems too bright. The total ambience of the street could be lessened and the street light penumbras on the street should have more fall off -- currently the light fixtures need shades/barndoors to emit such a sharp penumbra. The red traffic light needs more saturation. (nice reflection and chroma there as well).

Just realized this is hell? Add some street dwellers and a dead dog. Trash and graffiti are imperative. Potholes in the street. Crack out a lamp glass. And another suggestion; hang an old pair of adidas over the traffic light wire.
