John Stennis

Hello guys,

I am working on a John Stennis aircraft carrier model and I would appreciate any kind of feedback you might have.
The modeling is almost done.

So far this looks great, are you modeling the whole ship? Can we see more views?

Thank you for the reply.
Yep, I almost finished the modeling of the entire ship. More views are rendering as we speak.

Very nice! Are you going to be adding aircraft? The only thing that caught my eye were the propellers, the look like they should be thicker and maybe a bit larger.

Thank you for the reply.
I am going to add 2 types of airplanes (FA-18E and FA-18F) and a MH60R helicopter.
With regards to the propellers they are done according to the blueprints I have... not sure if they are 100% correct. Anyway they will be under water so they won't visible.

Cool! The model looks great.

What do you plan on doing with it?

Any chance we could see some larger renders?

Amazing it looks just like the one for sale on turbosquid, you know the one that's going for free on certain pirate sites that i've heard of! LOL, numpties!

Got any pictures of earlier stages in the construction and also some wireframes please.

@Numtus1 - I know the one that is on sale on turbosquid because I am seller there as well (user RippleDesign); I also plan to put this up for sale as soon as it is done. I don't appreciate your insinuations btw, but feel free to compare it with that one as much as you like.
As for pirate sites, I am not aware of that because I wouldn't touch them with a pole.

I will post some wireframes later today. In the meantime, here is another preview with the main island textured.

Amazing that seeing as one of these sites has a chap with the exact same username as you.

So, can you show us some pics of the earlier stages of construction.

Now you are making direct accusations.

Here are some high resolution wire frames of my model

And the link to the wires of the model listed on Turbosquid so that everyone can compare

You can clearly see that not only the topology is different but the entire model is not the same.

As soon as you are done comparing I think that you should apologize.

*I could also post some renderings from earlier stages but I don't see the point because you can always argue that I deleted parts of the model to fake a wip.

Quality stuff!

The amount of talents here is truly amazing.

I have nothing to really critic, keep it up.

Very nice detailing and interesting subject. The tower is most cool to look at. Thank you for sharing. What are your thoughts for final compositions? If I may suggest, I think it would be very interesting to see a close up on one of those planes you mentioned with the control tower in the background. Though it would be a bit off the subject, I find that this aircraft carrier makes a great environment. Also, I am wandering how long it took you to model that ship. Seems to me it had to be quite a bit of research and reference hunting.
