Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk

Hello

I decided to model Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk few days ago because its one of the coolest looking aircraft to me.

Short about the aircraft who dont know(wikipedia) : "The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk was a single-seat, twin-engine stealth ground-attack aircraft formerly operated by the United States Air Force (USAF). Its first flight was in 1981, and it achieved initial operating capability status in October 1983.The F-117 was "acknowledged" and revealed to the world in November 1988.The Air Force retired the F-117 on 22 April 2008, primarily because of the fielding of the F-22 Raptor and the impending introduction of the F-35 Lightning II."

Here is my start on modeling:

Hope you will like it.

Very nice start, coming along well. It's surprising how much detail the bird actually has as it looks kinda low-poly in real life
Do you have some stills/shots in mind already?

Cheers
Andre

Nice details there! Are you planning on doing the cockpit + weapons bays?

@ACantarel: Yea I have some stills in mind. I'll try to render somethig like this http://imageshack.us/photo/my-image...37tfwf117s.jpg/

and some shots of it flying. Also animation maybe.

@JamesNZ: thanks. Cockpit for sure and weapon bays I plan to do also but..it seems like there is not enough reference :( But I'll manage something.

Here is an update on a cockpit. It is still far away from being finished. But I'll work on some other areas now and then get back to cockpit later so that I wouldnt get bored working on one area.

Sweet I love the cockpit details! The reference pic is great, nice angle and composition. You could do one where you see all in line in that reference pic and one after another they open their canopy, like of all came back from a mission.

Cheers
Andre
