Audi R8 V8 2007

I decided to model this car as my first project using 3ds max. This is a studio render with EXR lighting via vray. I would like to hear any suggestions on render improvement and general critics.

Some interior shots might be added later.

The modeling is very good, mesh is clean.

The rendering though can be much improved. Consider using HDRI as light source & reflection.

i think the model needs better accuracy along the gaps of the panels. check out the link below.. notice how the gaps define the overall shape of the car. esp in the shadow line area, your model seems to have two difference gap sizes along the bottom of the door. They should be the same. i think you could be more precise with it. Its the extra 10-5 percent we are talking about, but it will make a difference in the overall feel of the render. right now the car feels like its hollow, not because of the lack of interior detail but because of the edges of the car have no depth.

Somehow the car looks a bit too long and flat. Are the measurements correct or is this because of narrow viewing angle? Maybe you should try to render it with wider camera lens.
