Ogre head and body

Hello everybody, I'm working on a new model to im prove my cg skills, especially anatomy and texturing/shading.
The base sketch comes from Sculptris and then the model has been retopologized in Blender with Bsurfaces. I added some bones to test body deformation, and I think it's quite good for a still render. Next step is working on high details and texture painting always with Blender .
Comments and cretics are very welcome.

finally a major update for this model after a long time, color textures with gimp, some detail via multires modifier and all rendered with cycles, but there is a lot to do. Comments and critics are very welcome, hope you like it.

Why remove the legs?

I much preferred the 'legged' model.

I think the texture of the horns looks flat.

A sample for you.

See the horn isn't just a simple color.

The skin looks a little plastic. Need more translucency, I think. Again, a little shy in the color department. Come on, he is an Ogre, the skin can be more adventurous.

you're completely right another time. The model was born about 6 months ago with the legs, but during the ritopo phase he lost his legs due to (I must admit) my lazyness : ( !!!

Hello everybody, is passed a lot of time since the last update, so it's time to post something.
I added the armor and some useful fight props, with a bit of shading, what do you think?
Comments and critics are always welcome!

Hey.. Looking good!

I think i'd add a little more color variation to the skin, it looks maybe too consistent, I think it needs a few touches of green and yellow, and also maybe a bit more variation in value. Also the armor looks a bit fake, I think it's too bumpy and not reflective enough so it appears a bit like a fake prop armor instead of the real thing?

But it looks good nevertheless.. Too bad you didn't include the legs, I mean it would have taken like only an hour or two..

Also I agree with PKD on the horns, that horns reference is great^^

I think that the metal shader is a bit better now. Certainly it could be improved, but i don't know how! : )

Looks almost cute. I like the realized metal material. Keep up the good work!
