Been there ^^

Yeah I remember that situation very anoying situation! I really like the idea and the concept of number 2. Like the FOV though I am not sure if it is not to extreme with the mountains rising up behind him . Love the style on the rat !

Greetings

That second idea is hilarious. I can relate to that easily. There's a bunch games I've played where I had to do just that in order to level. The composition is really great too.

thanks for the replies, guys, i think the first idea's out for now.

anyway, a quick sketch for the third idea - a huge amount of story behind it. because ive not translated it into english yet, heres a short description for the image:

finally the surviving blacksmith master meets the tenth dragon. he hands the weapon to him and requests to finish the tenth piece of the sword (there will be nine dragons engraved and one empty space where the tenth will be placed). though it will cost the price of eternal life, the dragon agrees, a hint of triumph on his face. his gift will guarantee the safety for the realms that are about to be laid waste by war, but also will secretly unleash a sinister curse upon the weapon and all those who will touch its cold metal, bringing days of darkness - as he is the black dragon, it goes well with his plans.
(complete story ill post on the next couple of days)

hope you like it

hi guys,
dont know if i can finish the challenge.
today i was given notice because the company hasnt done well in the past months, and now i have to look out for a new job.

if i can find some time to continue the challenge, ill try to finish idea nr.2, because the "10 ep until level up!"-concept got most interest.

besides that, i wish you all the best.

update:
more mmo-rpg style!
now there is a progress bar for the experience points on the bottom (and the rat grabbing over it), a portrait of the warrior with display of his actual level and a minimap, where another rat rescues itself by trying to climb into it.

hope you like it!

yeah, thanks, it will be a hard time getting a new job.
and things are getting worse, because my private wacom got stolen, i can only use that at my working place during lunchbreaks - and that means, i'll have from now on 6h maximum left to finish this piece.
but theres a shimmer of hope - maybe i can buy the old wacom of a workmate if its not too expensive.
