And the winner is......

Hello

The MARI Texturing Contest has come to an end and we're delighted to announce that the winner is:

Chris Welch
(aka Aquafat11)

We weren't going to have a second prize but one finalist's work impressed the judges so much that we had to sing his praises. Second prize goes to:

Nathan Boyd
(aka Essex)

Thank you and well done to all who entered - we had some amazingly beautiful and detailed entries. We hope you enjoyed using MARI.

Each finalist wins a MARI licence complete with a year of maintenance. We'll be in touch to extend your current licenses soon.

Look out for the MARI Competition feature in 3D Artist Magazine and on www.3Dartistonline.com.

Congratulations Chris and Nathan!

Jack

WHAT THE JUDGES THOUGHT

"Chris Welch's entry, in particular, really captured the essence of the character and showed excellent craftsmanship from concept through to finish."

Leigh van der Byl, Texture Painting Extraordinaire and Pan Galactic Overlord CG Society

"Essex's entry showed a fantastic imagination and he took the design in directions no one else dared! The images showed great attention to detail, flair and a rock solid mastery of the craft of texture painting. Truely great work."

Jack Greasley, MARI Product Manager
