Lossless from AE pixelated in FCP

So when I export lossless video from AE, with the Animation codec, which is coming from 100% clean image sequences, with square pixels, at 1920x1080, FCP not only shows it as blocky and pixelated in the interface, but renders it that way lossless too..
There are no longer sharp edges, kind of like miniature 2px MPEG compression blocks.

All search results relating to this matter seem vaguely submissive to it and dance around irrelevancies, with no solid answer as what the problem is or how to solve it.
Anyone else dealt with this before? I've compared the footage rendered out from FCP by overlaying it over its original self to confirm the results..
But we're not compressing at all, so we've no idea, what the problem could be..
Any ideas?

Cheers,
Tony
