CONCEPT DESIGN THREAD: "Star Wars: Steampunk"

This thread started as a daily sketch forum idea, and it has taken a life of its own.
Due to the popularity of this thread, I have decided to move the thread to WIP/Critique: 2D, Illustrations and Concept Art to allow it to grow...

Have fun!
-Roberto

Inspired aby AICN article by Moriarty
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/32017

and check this thread for inspiration and to see what is the fuzz about:
http://ericpoulton.blogspot.com/search/label/steampunk%20star%20wars

Imagine you have been commisioned to concept art on a new
"Star Wars: Steampunk" game...

These are the rules:
  • You have NO TIME LIMIT for your sketch. IF you go beyond the assigned time limit , you have to post WHATEVER you have done after the time has expired, along with the FINAL drawing.
  • Post only your FINAL piece on this thread, based on the topic on the thread.
  • Only final pieces can be posted on the thread. They must have been done AFTER the topic has been announced.
  • RESOLUTION : The image can have any aspect ratio up to 800 x 600
  • They can be done on any medium.
  • If you wish, you can add a brief text description about your piece.
  • Only original compositions. No "tributes" or plagiarizing, unless is it an integral part of the challenge.
  • You can post an entry at anytime for the topic presented on this thead BEFORE the voting thread for THE WEEK has been posted.
  • The artist also has to post total length of time it took and program used.
  • Any piece caught breaking the rules will be taken off the thread.
  • The topics will be picked at random from the list on the TOPICS thread >>LINK<<
(The author will be given credit). So guys keep them coming.
  • You can add multiple entries, but please dont post WIP (Unless you intend to update them).
Good Luck
-R

CHiguagua instead Chubaka, seems like a great ideer, u mean the lapdog kind? give it some ironcast collar to stay in tune then. (steam punk is industrial revolution mixed with no future of the 80's look think malcom mc and vivian westwood, r2d2 and c3po :P.)

Oh I so wish I could join this! I toyed with the concept of a "World Wars" version of SW, and this is kind of a close fit. I even did a paper sketchup of a X-Wing/Biplane hybrid. But alas, my current tablet (Aiptek T-8000U) really sucks and I doubt I could order a proper one quick enough for the contest, so I guess I'll just wish everyone good luck!
